Our final night is spent in a charming hotel in Strasbourg, where half-timbered houses and winstubs (bistros) reflect in the canals to create a charming scene.

5 July; 28 September This river cruise follows broadly in the footsteps of that inveterate traveller and grande dame of French literature, Madame de Sévigné, as she travelled between her home and her daughter's château in Provence.
