 Position:         Travel Consultant  (Sales Agent)

Reporting to:
Reservations Manager

Location: Based in Bath Road, Cheltenham, Travelzest, UK

Employment Type: Permanent

Principle Role: A role has arisen for an experienced retail travel consultant to join our UK team based in Cheltenham.  You will be primarily responsible for delivering exceptional standards of customer service to our wide range of clients, selling holidays, and advising customers with your expert knowledge and passion for travel. 

Key Responsibilities
 

  1. Answer all enquiries, following through in a timely manner, exceeding customer expectations and delivering high standards of customer service
  2. Make outbound telephone calls  
  3. Monitor progress against agreed Objectives and targets
  4. Handle email enquiries and convert them into sales
  5. Undertake research of travel destinations and accommodation in order to help customers make informed buying decisions 
  6. Undertake some travel admin tasks (eg travel setup, bookings, queries)
  7. Maintain and strengthen client relationships

Key Skills
 

  1. Previous experience in retail travel
  2. Ability to use Amadeus preferred, although not essential
  3. Exceptional communication skills, preferably developed in a sales or customer service environment
  4. A keen interest in travel and a desire to understand Travelzest products
  5. Keyboard skills / general computer competency is essential
  6. Ability to use initiative and analyse and solve problems
  7. Willing to learn new products and undertake own research
  8. Motivated, team player

Hours 09:00 – 17:30 Monday to Friday or 10:00 – 16:00 on Saturday rota (approx. 1 Saturday in 4), with occasional additional hours where necessary to fulfil the responsibilities of the job holder.
